Threshold

I closed my eyes and opened them...again.

Still, he did not appear.

The doorway was empty, and it was obvious that he would not show today, or the next day.

I was lying there on the floor. I finally let my guard down and slipped into unconsciousness.

In my dreams, he was there. Every single last memory that I had of him was played in black and white.

But at the same time it was vibrant with technicolor.

Instead of trying to figure out how this could be possible,

 I focused on his face.

It seemed, it was,  perfect in my hallucination. Everything was the way it should've been, should be.

He tried to whisper something to me. His eyes were calm, like he was relaxed and at peace with whatever it was that he was trying to tell me.

My eyes flickered open. My cheek was numb. I was laying unconscious on the cold hard floor.

As my eyes adjusted to the sunshine, I made out shoes creating gaps of light in the threshold.

They were mens shoes.

Little Fairy

I met a fairy today.
She told me of my future.
"You will marry a handsome young prince,
and live in a castle far far away
And he will give you everything your heart desires."

"That's.... that's great." I answered. I twirled my finger around a lock of hair and looked down.

"But I want the boy that works in that coffee shop." I explained. "He doesn't have much but he has a cute crooked smile. I know that he'll love me unconditionally. He'll support my biggest dreams and wrap his arms around me while talking about them. He may not seem like much to you little fairy, but he's all I have."

The fairy leapt off my window seal and shrugged her shoulders. And while staying afloat she sighed "Suit yourself she said, its your future." She flew away just as fast as she had come. Though now her wings drooped a little bit, as if they were sad.

"No" I said, "It's destiny."

Olive Bee with a Capital B

I know that I am REALLY late referring to the one and only Olivia Bee.
But I can't help mention her name. She is absolutely brilliant in the way she captures light and shadows within her photographs...not to mention a little mini fairy tale to complete the package.

With all that said. I am completely stressed out. College is kicking my butt and I haven't even graduated yet! How nice is that? I just don't know what to do anymore, everything is overwhelming me. I forgot that my birthday is this thursday! WHERE THE HECK IS THE TIME GOING?!

Anyways, I'm going down to Anderson, Indiana next week to register for my classes. Omg so weird. Hopefully I can get back on track and focus on my creative writing and photography.
I wonder if that is my intended career path? Ugh I'm sooooo confused.

Pray for me.
